Sheepcote Valley
Brighton Bier brewery is located a stone’s throw from East Brighton Park, which is also home to Whitehawk Football Club. As you enter the park there’s a series of paths that take you up into Sheepcote Valley where you can follow a number of circular routes that take you around the Nature Reserve and offer wonderful views. The attached map shows 2 great circular routes that you can start and finish at the brewery. The Ridgewalk and/or Wick Bottom, that loops around East Brighton Golf Club, are the perfect way to earn a beer.
If you fancy stretching your legs a little more, the Valley is also the gateway to go further afield to Ovingdean, Rottingdean, or even to Lewes along the South Downs Way.
The Juggs Road
A favourite walk of ours is along The Juggs Road to Lewes, following the medieval Drove Road that fishermen used to take their catch to market. It’s a lovely walk in either direction, but if you are going to finish at the brewery (of course you are!) then follow this route from Lewes and when you get to Waypoint #7 turn south into Sheepcote Valley rather than following the route into the city.
See you at the brewery, cheers!
